Service area & coverage

What areas do we service?: Arlington, Blount Island, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, Saint Johns, Mandarin, Southside, Baymeadows, San Jose, San Marco, Avondale, Riverside, and Northside. If you are unsure if you live within our service area, please contact us.
Are there mileage fees?: Yes. A standard mileage fee of $0.70/mile will be applied to any service that exceeds a 10 mile radius.

How far in advance should you book services?: Pet Sitting Services and Multi Day Drop Ins must be booked at least one month prior to service. Walks and Single Day Drop Ins may be booked one day prior to service.
Is a meet and greet required before booking?: Yes, a Meet and Greet is required before scheduling any services with Nik Nak Pet Care to assure we are the best fit for your fur baby/babies.
What days fall under holiday rate?: Nov 26 to 29, 2026 · Dec 24, 2026 to Jan 3, 2027 · Jan 15 to 18, 2027 · Feb 12 to 15, 2027 · Mar 26 to 29, 2027 · May 28 to 31, 2027 · Jun 18 to 20, 2027 · Jul 1 to 5, 2027 · Sep 3 to 6, 2027 · Nov 24 to 28, 2027.

What is your payment policy?: A 50% non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your dates. The remaining 50% is due 14 days before the start of your booking date.
What is your cancellation policy?: Within 24 hours of a booked walk or single drop in, there is a 50% cancellation fee. Any walk or drop in cancelled prior to the 24 hours will receive a full refund. Pet Sitting Services must be cancelled 14 days prior to the start of the service. Any cancellations made after the 14 days will not receive a refund.
What is the extended care rate?: Rates are based on a 24 hour time period from arrival time to departure time. The following extended care rates may apply for each pet on the booking if the end time on the final day of the stay is more than 2 hours later than the start time on the first day of the stay: 2 to 8 additional hours: +50% of the pet sitting rate. 8+ additional hours: +100% of the pet sitting rate.

How long has Nik Nak Pet Care been in business?: Nik Nak Pet Care started providing pet care in Jacksonville, Florida, in July 2022.
Are we insured?: Yes. Nik Nak Pet Care is insured through Pet Sitter Associates, LLC. Insurance certification available upon request.
Are you able to administer medications?: Yes. Oral and injectable medication administration.
